Project 7
For 200 years rollercoasters have fascinated and entertained millions and they continually get longer, faster, higher and more extreme!
Stem Club members spent 5 weeks building a fully automatic rollercoaster out of K-Nex. The rollercoaster had a 360 degree loop, a near vertical drop and various bends and twists.
Unfortunately the rollercoaster lacked the momentum to complete the circuit so club members decided to increase its height to over 5ft to overcome this difficulty. The construction work continues…
This is a project that brings together problem solving, imagination, physics and engineering.
