A NSEW event bases in school using a local history link with STEM subjects and carried out by year 9's, 8's and 7's and an invited audience from two local primary school.

The audeience watched a series of sketches giving the historical background to the event.

Teams carried out a series of tasks to gain clues to the location of a part of King John's Treasure. These involved obtaining coin densities, soil pH, building circuits incorporating mercury tilt switches, laser mazes etc.

GCSE Media Studies students recorded and edited a film of the event.

A local museum education officer brought in artfacts and replica costumes, weapons and weaving and knitting apparatus. D&T students produced replica coins. Drama students acted out a series of historical sketches.

Two freelance staff helped organise the activities.
