Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths Cross Curricular Long term project.

The Project was started up to coincide with the National STEM week. The intention was originaly to plant flowers to attract Bees to a garden and pond area but the STEM club decided to add the Bees as well.

The idea was to provide students with an insite into Bee keeping and help with trying to keep Bee numbers up in the area.

Year 7 Students were involved with setting up two behives that arrived as kits.

The kits were assembled in the technology department with the help of the year 7 students and the project leader Mr Nick Jones.

The siting of the behives was critical and the ground work for this was done by the ebgineering department.

The Bees duly arrived in May and were placed in the hives by the students.
