F1 in Schools

Pupils will compete in the F1 in Schools competition. Pupils will work in teams of between 3 and 6 members. Each member will be assigned a task and role. The team will elect a manager and it is his/her job to make sure each team member is doing their role.
This includes:
Designing and making the racing car using CAD/CAM; gaining support and sponsorship from local companies; Promoting the team through exhibition stands and merchandise; Presenting work to a panel of judges; Organising and scheduling work; Working as a team
Pupils have already been on a trip to the National Autosport show at the NEC to see the F1 in schools National Finals. The school had a year 9 team representing them this year. These pupils will be acting as mentors for the 'WizKids' (engineering club pupils).
