"Over the course of the last term we progressed our understanding of rocket propulsion into our new project which was to design and build rocket cars!
By incorporating a rocket engine into a chassis and then adding bodywork and aerodynamic aids in the form of balsa wood, we developed 5 vehicles which would be launched diagonally across our playground.
We were a bit worried that we would not have enough space for the cars to run on, with good reason I might add!
We started with low power rocket motors and moved up to more powerful ones once we knew the distances the cars were covering.
Our cars were numbered 1-5 and number 2 was the winning car.
(ps. the teacher's car is bound to win!)"
