New Topic at Tanfield: Herb Gardens & The Environment
This half term we will be looking at the environment. Activities and trips will be around this topic. Our first session will be about getting ideas from members about what to do and where to go.
At the end of last term members decided they were interested in growing their own herbs and cooking with them. So this half term we have decided to focus on activities surrounding the topic of the environment.
Ideas for activities so far include:
+ Herb Garden
+ Weather Station
+ Trips to Botanic Gardens
+ Recycling
+ Designing an eco-classroom. A space outside that is used in the summer months as an outdoor classroom / ecology learning environment.
