The first part of the session involved club members going on a tour to see some of the more unknown parts of the school grounds. These included the stream, meadow, disused railway line and the school pond. Whilst on the tour members took some lovely photographs of plants and landscapes, all bathed in autumnal sunlight. By chance, a falconer was flying his Harrier Hawk off the public footpath. Members were able to take some wonderful photographs of the bird. The best photographs will be entered into the Northumberland Wildlife Trust photograph competition.

The second part of the session involved students watching and listening to Mr Tulip’s excellent demonstration of dissecting a lamb’s heart and lung. Students were wowed by the structure of the organs, not to mention all the blood, and loved it when Mr Tulip blew the lungs up!!!
