Campsmount School became a specialist technology college in September 2003 having seen many changes since it was originally opened in 1965. The school is on the outskirts of the former mining village of Campsall where it provides education for students from the village, Norton and the former mining community of Askern.
There are 807 students in the school of whom 85 are in the sixth form.
