As part of the schools whole school Flexible Learning day, the Rocket Club put on a Rocket Day for year 7.

Rocket Club members acted as ambassidors for the club and helped the younger members. They completed a series of rocket related activies.

Research project: they had two hours to research and make a booklets on Rockets. Given info packs from NASA and had access to books and the internet.

Mentos and Coke Rockets: Pupils designed rockets from a selection of toilet rolls, smarties tubes on plastic bottles to sit on top of the fountain created with mentos and coke.

Heavy Lifting Rockets: Pupils designed rockets consisting of three balloons and a selection of others bits that could carry 50 paper clips to the ceiling.

Workshop from Ian Dunne from Do science. A talk / demonstration about big moments in Science. All pupils loved it.

All pupils loved the day with some fantastic feeback!
