Rocket Club had a party!!

Severn Vale Rocket Club was one of 60 locations joining in with the international tradition of holding Yuri nights to celebrate Yuri Gagarin – the first man in space! The night started with a Bang, a rocket launch on the school field. Then back inside for talks from the Year 5 Rocketeers. These are a group of lucky Year 5’s from local primary schools who got the opportunity to experience mini projects using our rockets. On completion of the 8 week Rocket Science Training, they each received a certificate at the Party. The Year 8 Rocket Club then took centre stage to explain to their parents the fun they had on the recent trips. The evening finished with a talk on space travel and a toast to Yuri from Duncan Willoughby, a local Astronomer. We had over 50 guests enjoy the evening, celebrating the successes of the club so far!
