This is a nice end of term activity for two weeks. Provide each pupil with a block of jelly, a plastic cup and an assortment of materials such as spagetti, string, pasta swirls, Hula Hoops, wooden spills, cottton wool etc and set the task of making the jelly in a beaker (just add boiling water) and then arranging the materials in the cup so that, once the jelly has been added and has set, it makes the strongest re-inforced jelly.

Allow to set for a week and test by placing on board (covered in newspaper!) placing a small wooden board on top and then adding weights.

Our record was 6Kg!
